‘Gaia’

2 B/W Photograph Overlays (Single Lens Reflex Nikon Camera, 400 spd film)

‘Gaia’ was created by using multiple photography developing techniques. I began with an image of a vine covered wall. I then overlaid a negative of white clay mask and over exposed them laid on top of each other for several minutes. Just for reference, Gaia in ancient Greek Mythology was the mother of the earth goddess that preceded all the normal Greek gods that we all know about.
