'Beatbox'

3D Modeling, 3D Animation, 3D Model Texturing (Maya 5.0) Video Composition, Masking (After Effects 5.0)

Beatbox is a music video at heart. I created it in order to show my versatility in using my 3d models and animations within a video context. I chose the video "Days Go By" by Dirty Vegas in order to put my model and his dance moves into a real context and have him interact with the scenes and characters.

There was a main character already dancing within the video scenes, and through extensive masking (frame by frame) I was able to completely remove him, and insert my own character. Beatbox spins, does hand plants, "randalls" walks around, and does "The Robot" while interacting with the onlookers.
