This photo was taken in Auschwitz, Poland in the darkest and most feared cell in the entire death camp. This specific cell was where the Nazi’s kept prisoner’s that were to be executed the following day. This cell has only two passageways… One is the barred door emblazoned with the symbol of fire that casts its shadow on the floor. The other leads to the Nazi Death Wall between cellblocks 15 and 16.
